“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬ ‭

Where’s Your Pond

My favorite time of the sports year has begun. I can already hear the familiar notes of college basketball’s national anthem swirling in my head…One Shining Moment. The last team standing as champion will never forget that moment.

But not every champion hears that song. I remember a season when Kentucky won the NCAA basketball championship—and at the same time, Georgetown College (KY) won the NAIA championship. Different tournaments. Different levels. But for the players and fans, both were meaningful titles. Across men’s and women’s basketball, there are many teams that proudly call themselves champions.

The same is true for churches. They come in all sizes—some ministering to thousands, others to just a few. But it’s not about the numbers. Whether it’s speaking to a packed room or having a one-on-one conversation, feeding the hungry or offering spiritual food, it’s all about loving people.

BOTTOM LINE: “There is a moral and spiritual war for the souls of Americans. And this war must be waged by preaching the Gospel, prayer, and obedience to God’s Word.” – David Jeremiah

God’s Glory!
