Coaching Staff Backgrounds
Kelly Combs – Tour Director & Men’s Head Coach
With 35 years of coaching experience—18 in college and 19 internationally—Kelly recently led the USA Men’s Basketball Team to a gold medal at the 2024 FISU America Games in Colombia. This will be his first time coaching a 3×3 team and his debut in Germany.
Kyle Combs – Men’s Assistant Coach
Kyle brings nine years of coaching experience, including four years at the collegiate level (Kentucky Christian University and Baylor University). He is currently the Head Boys Coach at Live Oak Classical School, where he has won 108 games and finished this season as State Runner-Up. As a player, Kyle competed at Asbury University and Kentucky Christian University. His international experience includes tours in China, Indonesia, and Puerto Rico.
Owens Crawford – Assistant Coach & Statistician
Owens has five years of high school coaching experience at Live Oak Classical in Waco, TX, and Mason County High School in Maysville, KY. A former player at Kentucky Christian University, he also played on an international tour in China. He will oversee statistics for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Maria Napolitano – Women’s Head Coach
Maria was a four-year player at Division I Quinnipiac University (NEC and MAAC), serving as co-captain in her senior year. She played in the NCAA Tournament in 2013 and 2015, and earned accolades including MAAC Sixth Player of the Year and All-MAAC Second Team honors. Quinnipiac secured three regular-season conference titles during her tenure.
After college, Maria played two professional seasons in Spain—winning a divisional tournament with Ausarta Barakaldo and advancing to the Second Division National League. She later played for Tirso Igualatorio in Santander.
Maria has coached high school and AAU basketball from 2020–2024, serving as Assistant Varsity Coach at Indian Hill High School (Cincinnati, OH) and contributing to three league championships. She also served as Director of Operations and Head Coach for the Sports City Angels 15U team in the EYBL program. Her mission trips to the Caribbean, where she taught basketball and shared the Gospel, reflect her passion for ministry through sports.
Kali Kells – Women’s Assistant Coach
With seven years of coaching experience across middle school, high school, and college levels, Kali is currently the Director of Operations and Offensive Coordinator at Asbury University, her alma mater. She first felt a calling to missions during a 2013 trip to Haiti. Since graduating, she has participated in several mission projects, including a recent one in Puerto Rico.
“This is an incredible opportunity and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I can’t wait to represent the USA and spread the love of Jesus this summer!” – Kali Kells
Zach Arington – Team Leader & Administrator
A former basketball player at Indiana Wesleyan University, Zach now serves on staff with Sports Reach. He has led and participated in numerous Sports Reach camps and international tours. He will also serve as Lead Discipler for both teams.
Hannah Edwards – Sports Information Director
Hannah will manage photography, video content, and social media for both teams. She will also assist with discipleship for the Women’s team. Hannah has participated in numerous mission trips worldwide and brings strong media and ministry experience to the role.
Jody Combs – Team Manager & Admin Staff
Jody will support administrative tasks and team logistics, while also contributing to discipleship and outreach efforts. She has previously toured with Sports Reach in China, New Zealand, and Jamaica.
