In December, our Missionary friend from Hungary, Terry Lingenhoel, came to visit me and the team that went there back in February. It was great to see him again and hear how his ministry and baseball/softball teams have been developing. They have been able to put up lights at their field and played the first games in the whole country under light! We also talked about hopefully bringing their baseball team over to Cincinnati next July to do a reverse mission trip. As of now it seems like this will probably happen, we just need to get our dates set. Before he left, we were able to give him some baseball gear to take back to Hungary.
I also was asked to speak at an FCA huddle for Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati this December. I was able to share my testimony with 20 kids and the men’s basketball coach. Thanks again to Pastor Kirk Kirkland for the invite! Afterwards I went up to Mason, OH to meet with a church plant that was interested in sports ministry to reach kids and families in their community. After seeing their location and space we decided that a soccer camp in June may be a good place to start. Hopefully this can happen as it is very close to where I live and work and they are interested in learning so that they can run it on their own in the future. They hope to see our soccer camp we run with the Lord’s Gym in March to get an idea of how it goes which is promising.
Looking forward to getting my schedule for camps and trips ironed out so that I can share it with you all next month. Please be praying for all the athletes and coaches we have worked with and will be working with this upcoming year and how God may want to use you to help us in the future! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and God’s Glory!
