But How

“To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”

1 Corinthians 9:22–23

Paul’s heart beats with a single passion—to see people saved by the gospel. His willingness to meet people where they are, to adapt his approach without compromising the truth, reveals the selfless nature of gospel ministry. He didn’t insist on personal preferences or rights; he laid them down so others might know Jesus.

Look around you today. Who needs to hear or experience the gospel? Maybe it’s the discouraged coworker, the skeptical friend, or the lonely neighbor. Like Paul, we’re called to enter into others’ worlds with compassion and humility. This might mean listening more, judging less, or stepping out of your comfort zone to love well.

Bottom Line

“God’s plan for enlarging His kingdom is so simple—one person telling another about the Savior. Yet we’re busy and full of excuses. Just remember, someone’s eternal destiny is at stake. The joy you’ll have when you meet that person in heaven will far exceed any discomfort you felt in sharing the gospel.”
