Sports Reach is playing in the Volcano Classic Aug 6-13, 2024 in San Salvador, El Salvador. This will be our first trip to El Salvador, and we are very excited about the opportunities that God is orchestrating in what was once the most dangerous country in the world! Their President is very open about his faith in Christ and says it’s because of that and seeking God’s wisdom first that they were able to run the gangs out of El Salvador and lower the murder rate to 2 in 100,000, the lowest and safest in the western hemisphere. We will play some local teams, then the El Salvadorian national team, per NCAA approval, still pending, McNeese St Univeristy, and then the champions of the El Salvadorian professional league. We are excited and greatly appreciate your prayers!
October 4-12 we will also have our first international pickleball mission trip as we travel to Brazil! We will work with Pastor Roberto Maranhão who is the official pickleball chaplain for the Brazilian pickleball association. Our trip will begin in São Paulo and then move on to Belo Horizonte.
