I can’t believe we are halfway through 2021! It’s almost hard for me to wrap my mind around. Nevertheless, God is continuing to open many doors. This year has been a true blessing filled with opportunities and June was no exception.

This June, our Conference Men’s Softball Team finished fourth in Maryland. We are currently sitting in great shape, ranking 11th in the point totals. This weekend, July 9th-11th, is the Smokey Mountain Classic in Maryville, TN. This is the most prestigious, non-world, tournament in the country.  Last year, we weathered a lot of heavy rain, but still managed to grab third while over 15,000 people watched on a live stream.

One of the great blessings of having a higher profile softball team is the opportunity to grab more ears. Yes, we get to speak truth to other teams after we play, but equally important are the over 2000 people that have an opportunity to hear Biblical truth through our Daily Devotional. In June, we have been strolling through the book of Matthew.

In the middle of June, there was a Sports Reach camp in Owsley County, KY. They are still coming out of Covid, which impacted our numbers, but we were happy to be able to do daily basketball and cheerleading camps. As a new twist, we held a  baseball clinic on Tuesday evening and we held a similar camp for fastpitch softball on Thursday.

Our Alabama Sports Reach team kicked off their season this month by playing three prison teams in the Panhandle of Florida. They had a great time sharing the gospel and playing softball with the inmates. Eastern Kentucky Sports Reach also strolled into Central Florida for their second trip of the year. The guys had the privilege of sharing with around 450 men and 50 men indicated decisions to become Christ-followers.

We are also very excited about plans coming down the pipeline. Three of us were able to go to Belize for a quick three-day visit, and begin working on cycling/evangelism and fishing/construction trips in early 2022. Please continue to be in prayer as we begin to lead Football Camp in Cincinnati, OH; Soccer Camp in Cincinnati, OH; Basketball camp in Dearborn, MI; and a T-Shirt and Socks Drive for Lord’s Gym in Cincinnati, OH.

God is so good and keeps growing things beyond measure. Thanks for all your prayers and financial support.

God’s Glory
