Where Are the Workers?
“He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.”
— Matthew 9:37–38
While we pray for more workers, we should also reflect on our own role in God’s mission. Each of us has unique gifts and opportunities to contribute to the spread of the Gospel. Whether through direct evangelism, supporting missionaries, or embodying Christ’s love in our daily interactions, we are invited to participate actively in the harvest.
By sharing our faith, we not only fulfill our calling but also gain a deeper understanding of the immeasurable treasures we have in Christ. As we express our beliefs and share our experiences, the Holy Spirit works within us—strengthening and deepening our grasp of God’s love and grace.
Let us embrace every opportunity to share the hope within us, knowing that in doing so, we draw nearer to the heart of God and grow in our appreciation of the divine gifts He has bestowed upon us.
Bottom Line
“If you believe what you like in the Gospels, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself.”
— Saint Augustine
