From October 15-18, Kelly Combs and I headed out to Carlsbad, California, for the North American Missions Conference put on by the North American Sports Movement. Jeff Arington and Kyle Miller also attended the first day. While there we got to meet with sports ministries from all over the continent. Some were competitive and were starting academies, some were churches using sports camps to reach kids and families, some were using video games, others using fitness and a few even using sports to reach those with disabilities. Even though it was mostly people who lived in Canada and the USA, there were many recent immigrants reaching their communities here in North America.

Each day, we would start with worship, hear from a speaker, have 2 break-out sessions, play some sports with each other, and have a meal. There was not a ton of new information, but there was a ton of connection-making and brainstorming on how to create Gospel saturation in our major cities, basically get to the point where cities have the Gospel being shared all over the place. I really enjoyed the event and hope to connect our ministry contacts to this community here in North America and to the ones overseas.
